Flashback Friday!

It's time for random 4 today again!

March 2009: Tyler is 7 months old. Ellie was 4. She still remember this and talks about it. We dressed Tyler up as a Tiger and put him in the living room. Then Ellie ran into daddy's room saying "daddy help, there is a tiger in the living room!" She loved "scaring him" like that :)

February 2008: Ellie is 3 years old and came out into the living room saying "mom, look what I created!" We could hardly believe our eyes and knew then how smart our little girl was!

Not totally sure on a date, but this was around 2007- we had a preschool homeschool coop. at our church and this was our group. This ran for 2 years. It was a wonderful time and through it I learned I actually do NOT want to homeschool my kids. But, I was glad to have the experience!

March 2011- me and my buds, doing what we do best: silly faces :)

Flashback Friday!

Tyler was JUST about to become a forever member of our family. We went to a park to celebrate! Look at this child's hair!

Oh my Tyler, how much I love you and your crazy personality! This is when Tyler was about 18 months old!

Tummy time! Never one of Trenton's better moments, but he has gotten so VERY strong! This was shortly after he came home from the hospital. He was about 3 1/2 months old!

Ellie and Mommy as twins :) She was 2 years old here and we were getting ready to start our MOPS year. We had a kick-off bar-b-que. So fun!

Flashback Friday!

Another 4 random picture post. I love the people that have done it too!!!!!!!! Choose 4 random pictures and post them no matter what.....then tell me about them!

#1 Ellie is 2- She was an Indian for Halloween. Not very politically correct, but cute none-the-less :)

#2. Nope, this is not my Trenton.....this is Ellie with her Grandpa! She is about 5 months here and about Trenton's current size!

#3. The entire P. Clan! One of the outtakes that I just LOVE! This is the only time we had our picture taken ALL together.....and we are missing a few babies/additions! Tyler was only a few days old here (maybe a week). At the time I was unable to post pictures of him on the internet because he was a foster baby! You can BARELY see him.....Ellie is holding him and no, that is not a doll!

#4 August 2007- Ellie is 3 years old! It was not an uncommon experience to have her walking around the house in a tutu all day long. Here we are working with glitter.....and boy did that child love making herself sparkly!

Flashback....Saturday?

I felt like doing another random picture post because I had so much fun last week :) 4 random pictures from random albums!

#1 August 2005- Ellie is a little bit over 1 year old. Hard to remember her hair so short :)

#2 2009- Ellie and Miss Mary Grace. Mary Grace is in her 90's and lives in MD where my parents used to live. We always visited her when visiting my parents. Here Ellie is singing "Jesus Loves Me" to her. She gave me all her gorgeous blue china. Every time I use it, I think of this dear soul!

#3- March 2010- Tyler is 1 1/2....before he became a big brother. He has ALWAYS had the best hair in the world!

#4- Ellie is 4 years old. This is her birthday party at Carriage Hill Farm. We LOVED that place. It brought us to another time. These sweet little girls are what dreams are made of!

My biggest blessing of today is that I have time to sit down and do a random post without any obligations. Well, there is always laundry to fold and rooms to clean, but it is so nice to feel the beautiful breeze and just revel in the blessedness of my life. My family celebrated me for Mother's Day today. It could not have been better. So, I am off to enjoy. I hope you have time this weekend to do the same!

Flashback Friday!

I decided to pick 4 random folders/pictures for today's post. I'm excited to see what I come up with!

#1- December, 2008- Tyler is 3 1/2 months old!!!!!! I love this picture of him trying to suck his thumb because I forgot about this.....plus it shows his hysterical hair loss. The boy was born with so MUCH hair but then had male pattern balding all over......I was hoping for curls when it came back but yeah right. It is straighter than mine. But, his hair is gorgeous, black, shiny and very thick now!

#2 September 2009- Tyler is 13 months and fully adopted into our family with his new name and Ellie is 5. This is the swing in front of our old house. I really miss it! These two were meant to be brother and sister!!!!!

#3 April 2006- A stray cat adopted our family and yes, was pregnant :) She had 7 kittens in our back yard. We found homes for all but 2 who ended up living with us.....this is Shadow who is STILL our kitty. Ellie is almost 3 here. Man, she was SOOOO cute!

#4 Easter 2006- Ellie is almost 3. She still loves egg hunts as much as she did back then!

Flashback Friday!

August: 2008- The last vacation we took just Greg and myself before we had another child. We went to Williamsburg, VA and Ellie stayed with Grandma and Grandaddy in MD! God knew we needed this vacation. One week later, our son was born and we took him as a foster placement. Of course we did not know that then. But, it was so nice to have a vacation with my husband before our lives changed forever!!!!!!!

Ellie was the flower girl in Aunt Rachel's wedding. I believe she was about 10 months old here. She could walk, but pretty unsteadily. I carried her down the aisle and she was just as cute as bug :)

The day we took this family photo, we took one like this, and then one like this:

We did not know then that this precious boy was to be our son. At this time he was a foster baby and we could only hope and dream that someday he would be ours......and now I can not imagine my life without him! Back in this first picture, he had another name and there were big question marks in our future. I am so blessed that God chose to give us this gift of our first son!

Flashback Friday!

Embarrassing picture of me, but I think it is hysterical! I was Ellie's age here with the WORST hair cut I have ever received. My mom tried to salvage it by curling it, but it did little to NO good! I was always SO SO SO mad that my sister was allowed to have long hair and they always kept mine short. To this day I have no idea WHY! Perhaps that is why I always love to have my hair long now :) Enjoy laughing at me :)

P.S. This is Cindy, my doll that Ellie has now. It is a "My Child". Who remembers those? What was YOUR favorite toy from the '80's?

I was just showing Ellie my pictures and she saw this and said "hey, you have my same face!!!" Yes, I do :) Just different hair....and Ellie's is MUCH cuter.!
