Easy Tailoring

How many times when you gain or lose weight do you have to put clothes aside....whether that means getting rid of them or saving them for future use? I for one, do not have the money to buy all new clothing with my weight loss....especially when I have a particular item that I just love (and yes, I am loving that I have this problem!).

A few months ago, I purchased an awesome pair of khaki tweed pants from "The Limited." I wore them to church last Sunday and then noticed how very baggy they were. In discussing the problem and sadness with my mom this morning, she helped me realize that there actually IS something I can do about it.

No, I am not a master tailor by any means......but this project took me literally 5 minutes and saved money!

I am slowly losing my fear of sewing clothes......I'll let you know. Good luck in tailoring your own clothes!

  1. Good job :) Told ya the fear would go away. The more you do it the easier it is :)

  2. Great! I actually do that during the ups and downs between pregnancy. I don't really mark it out like you do because I'm not patient enough. I just sew, try on, adjust. repeat. :) Your way is much better. They look super!
